Resource Filter
Resource Filter adds a bar of filter buttons, for example “All”, “E-Books” and “Webinars”. Visitors click a button to narrow the resource cards shown on the same page.
A filter only affects a Resource Grid whose Filter Mode is Filter. Grids set to Fixed or Tags ignore it.
Set up a filter
Section titled “Set up a filter”- Add Resource Filter to the page, above the grid it controls.
- In All Resources Label, enter the text for the button that shows everything, for example
All resources. - Under Items, add one Filter Item per button.
- In each Filter Item, enter a Label and choose one or more Tags.
- Set Filter Mode to Filter on the Resource Grid below it.
How filtering works
Section titled “How filtering works”- The first button, All Resources Label, is selected when the page loads and shows every card the grid would show without a filter.
- Clicking a Filter Item button keeps only cards whose resource carries all of that item’s Tags. An item with
webinarandDACHshows only resources tagged with both. - The filter narrows what the grid has already loaded. It never adds resources the grid’s own Tags, Categories and Types exclude.
- Selecting a button returns a paginated grid to page 1, and the page count is recalculated.
- One filter applies to every Resource Grid in Filter mode on the page, and to a Wall Of Love on the same page.
- The selection is not stored in the page address. Reloading the page resets it to the first button.
On large screens the filter is a row of buttons. On phones it is a dropdown with the same options.
Use it with a pagination grid
Section titled “Use it with a pagination grid”With Variant set to Carousel, an automatic grid only loads its newest 3 or 4 resources, so the filter can only choose among those few cards. Use Variant Pagination on grids controlled by a filter.
